UK is well-recognized around the world from its education quality to its reputation of  old universities and schools. It is a destination of many student aiming to complete their higher education in an international and worthy place. When you write down in your resume that you have studied in UK it means that your future career is guaranteed. You can see that UK universities are not ranked highly in the top ten universities of the world. There are only few of them in the top ten ones. anyway, they still look precious. The amount of research funding really peaks compared to US and Australia. There is an education fair called UK Exhibition which around 60 universities gathers together at the same place in different countries providing some information about the admission of their universities and also assist the prospective student in their admission process. There are also some agents in each countries following the student application process free of charge. I went there last week at KLCC and had long talks with the admission officers. They had a look at my transcripts and English test (IELTS) then said that you will be getting your offer letter as soon as you apply for the course you intend to do. I asked about the financial aids and scholarships available in their universities. They said that the tuition fees are around £13,750 a year and the maximum scholarship which an international applicant can get is up to £5000 per year.  OMG…what about the living costs? it was also high…they mentioned it will be £150- £200 per month over a month. based on what I understood from the fair the following conclusions can be drawn.

They are really interested in gathering intelligences from around the world. They do not recognize every certificate from every country easily and the first thing they tell you in respond to your transcripts is that how many years have you been studying?….if it is 13 years, you can directly go to the Bachelor degree whereas if you did 12 years, you  should take the foundation course before entering the course. It seems that you can easily go there but in fact it is not…I’m not sure, maybe it is all my opinion because of the financial which suck all the time. BTW, it is the place to be, of course for those who have a high budget available in their bank account.LOL
